Wanted Horns

I’ve got this one, passenger for a ‘63.

It doesn’t work. Tried an unsuccessful repair.

Looking for one or both that work.

the horns are side specific as the horn comes off on either side, can't remember which side is which.

They have a H or L embossed on them.

Even amongst the early clamshells, there are several different iterations. I should probably pull out my collection and take pics of the variations I have. Your clamshell looks to have a recess on the very top for the decal. Are you looking for that exact horn?

Not really Mark, don’t know the originality of the one I have, it was in the rig (‘63 45). But it matches the original wiring harness connector on the passenger side. Not too concerned about originality, just didn’t know availability. Even looking at a modern variant like these Maruko Super Giga Horns 500hz and 400hz for 12v Made in Japan JDM Horn Bgd-2 for sale online | eBay but would have to change connector - NBD.

I like the idea of showing the different variations and some details on what models, years, etc. I think these types of displays are very helpful.

Not to be off topic, but is the horn cover metal? I thought all Toyota 40 horn had plastic covers. You did say it was from a 63, that is early....
