Horn Relay (1 Viewer)

Posting this for my Dad. He has a 1975 FJ-40.

Why would horn relay get hot? Its a new relay, have 2 green & yellow wires & 1 green & red , horn will not blow !!!

Any wisdom I can pass along?

Listen to the relay to hear if it clicks when he disconnects the battery. if it does, check the buttons on the steering wheel, one is stuck.

Check the wiring and make sure its correct.......

green/red = power feed

green/yellow= horn switch/ground

green/white= to horn

horns must have case grounds........

Turns out the horn button was stuck! Thanks for the helping track this problem down.
