What do you think about the new Hooters billboard?

"ONLY A ROOSTER GETS A BETTER PIECE OF CHICKEN"

A lot of people think it is offensive. Do you?

No. Buncha whiners. I'm sure Hooters could make a much more offensive billboard if they tried :D

Oh, and for reference: Article link

Not nearly as offensive as this ad campaign from Burger King

www.coqroq.com - To advertise chicken fries. What exactly is it about chickens that attracts pervs?

    Who thinks it's offinsive, exactly?

Granted, I wouldn't want to see that add on the Disney channel or during Sat. morning cartoons...but you know...

Kinda funny. I think the Chick-Fil-A cow ads are funnier (even though they're old). EAT MOR CHIKEN!

Marketing. They're hoping to reach the part of the market that likes that kind of stuff. Whoever that is.

I'm not saying I'm all up in arms about this stuff but I can see how trying to sell chicken with references to oral sex is seen as crude and perhaps a new low for a mainstream fast food company. At lleast Hooters is not trying to be a family dinner place.

BK launched a new website, www.coqroq.com, a site meant to appear as if a heavy metal band of the same name had created it. The site includes .... photo galleries with shots of young girls with handwritten captions like "Groupies love the Coq" and “groupies love Coq." After the site went live on Tuesday, the bawdy captions were erased.

Lyrics "bob your head , bob your head", "eat the white meat" with visuals of young girls "going down" on a chicken fry.

    I obviously don't understand advertising.

Update - I see that the video is gone now too.

    I don't find it offensive.

People that do have that right, but their right to be offended ends where they take action to legislate and take action to prevent the general population from being exposed to it.

In other words, if you are offended, that is a choice you make, just don't try to make your minority status the status quo for the rest of the population.
