X3 My local hardware store sells that same rubber in sheets, about the size of a piece of paper. Remove hinge, trace, cut, botta bing! I bought a set of hole punches at Harbor freight, or use any SPENT 9mm or .30 caliber cartridge casing to punch holes.

I prefer plastic to rubber for this sort of application so I cut mine from an icecream container that colour-matched my bodywork.

I made my own using shower pan lining materal. In fact I have used this materal to make all of my gaskets on my 40 where metal is bolted to metal. This liner will last alot longer than rubber and is thick enough to be durable but not too thick to really show. I have had this stuff on my 40 for over 5 years with no signs of it cracking, fading, or getting hard. You can cut it with scissors and then use a hole punch. The link is an example of what i am talking about. It can be found at most hardware stores.
Shop Oatey 6' Shower Pan Liner at Lowes.com

I bought black cove base moulding for my gaskets. It's a little thicker than rubber sheets (about 3/32"), and seems to hold up well. Still easy to cut, and work with.

One thing I forgot to add...After it is cut, it can be sanded to smooth out the edges for a real nice finished look.

And how do I tell if they're virgins?

I'm pretty sure all you have to do is ask, 'cause they always tell you the truth. Right?

I have some old innertubes that I was thinking of using. Does anybody have any sources or ideas for the rubber pads that go on the front bib and the hood rests on. Ccot sells some but they are out of stock.

I bought these from CruiserCorps earlier this year: FJ40 Hood Pad Kit
