So I have a 17 Blizzard Pearl White

And the morning and evening glare off my hood is pretty annoying.
I have thought of putting a matte black vinyl on the hood.
Just on the bulges vs covering the entire hood. I do find the sun reflects off all of the surfaces but mostly from the 2 bulges.

Any one try the XPEL Matte clear?
I wonder if that would cut the glare enough without having such a drastic look to the car.
I don't mind the black hood look but I also prefer being a little more subdued.

Anyone done this themselves?

I have Xpel Stealth on the majority of my hood. It helps, but probably not as good as what a regular matte black would do.

I had something like this on my super white 2011. It helped mostly from the overhead lighting though...

Most shops will tell you to go satin, looks and holds up better than matte.

I’ve been thinking about this as well. I already wrapped the hood in PPF so I don’t want to have to eat that cost to make a switch but, holy lord, that glare off the white can be hella annoying.

Put some lights up by the roof rack then you'll be happy with what you have now.

Been there done that, that’s why my light bar is mounted in the grill.

that's what I was looking for.

I think satin or matte black it is.

yeah the XO guys went full black hood for "Samson"
And then did gray wrap on the entire car and then sold it to fieldcraft survival

or these guys did just the middle and lined it up with the blacked out grille

Been looking for a solution myself. My previous rigs have the hood blackout kit. Just can't find one for the 200 series LC. You guys have any luck?

This guy runs the black on the two nostrils as well.

yeah racing stripe looks less like you running the hood just covered in primer cuz you can't afford paint....LOL

But I think the full hood wrap is the way to go
