I have the OME 2.5" heavy lift(no J springs) and I have noticed when I get really flexed my front drive shaft will touch the front sway bar a little. What to do about this? well I thought about getting some from Slee. Those are about a 2" spacer. That's more than I need for sure.
So I go looking thru the garage and find a nice piece of 2024 Aluminum...hmm. I go thru the idea in my head thru the day at work and decide "no problem! I can make spacers". I run home from work and less than 3 hours and a couple of #6 later I have installed 3/4" spacers on each side. SWEET!!
I used a sawzall, drill, 21/64" bit, tape measure, vise, razor blade to mark the alum and and a file to clean it up a little.
They are not perfect as far as looks go but they fit just right, and that is all that counts!
