So for those who don't know, I inherited my cruiser from its original owner: my grandfather. I have been going through old things trying to help my parents clean up and we managed to find a treasure trove of documents and random cruiser stuff in my grandfathers things.
It turns out that he was quite an organized, anal retentive, packrat and a bit of a closet cruiser nerd.
I now have all of the original documentation including:
On to the pictures!
This is all of it spread out.
Original Window Sticker
Old school ManaFre catalogue I found in his stuff
Original sales flyers with specs on the back and marketing slicks on the front. Significantly, with the color of the FJ60 on the slick also being the color of mine.
Original invoice, showing A/C upgrade and "protective coating" whatever scam was running that time of year. You can also see here the original paperwork envelop with the metal Key Code tag inside of it.
I'm so excited to have found all of this crazy stuff. Already I've had a few good chuckles and a quiet moment of sadness, but this just helps me re-live the past a little.
I think I now need to make copies of everything for posterity, and then put it together into a "provenance" book so if I do ever get around to showing it.
So much cool stuff to dig through.
Jeff
