I have been playing and watching hockey for about 33 years now and last year they blew it. I will never watch the NHL again, or go to one of their games. Me and countless others put our lives on the line every day for next to nothing ( not complaining, it is what i want to do and enjoy it ) and these guys are complaining about money, when they are paid in the millions. They lost alot of us when they did that. I had a chance to play for the league but instead chose the military, so yes i made my own mind up not too make the big bucks but still, they could pay me what I make now and i would be happy playing hockey. I always thought it was a fun SPORT and not something to cry about how much money you were not making.

I'll watch the hockey again...taking a year off doesn't really affect me...I don't live and breath hockey so don't care that much but I'll watch what I can when it's back. I still think it's a cool sport. IMO if the owners say they would rather take a year off than pay their players and the players say they'd rather take a year off than get paid such a low amount, that's fine, doesn't hurt me any, just a pissing match between million/billion-aires...I somewhat applaud both sides for sticking to their guns for so long...the owners felt strongly one way and made it known...the players felt strongly the other way and made it known...atleast neither side totally caved to the other, although the proposed deal it looks like the owners won out on more than the players did...oh well, who cares...

Oh and Red Wings Suck! :D
