I will post a update on the fuel tank change simple because of the diesel fuel pick up in the tank being so clogged with the tar like substance or the fuel bug.
I recommend pulling your tanks just to clean it as it has made a difference with the 12ht engine now revving quicker.
When I fitted the overflow return line from the pump to the tank there was quite a bit of excess fuel being pumped back so I assumed everything was working fine.
I should have run a clear line into a bucket to check under higher revs and loading on hills etc whether there was still a return flow the poor old girl must have starving for fuel over the last two years.
In hindsight I should have removed the tank when I built the truck but its one s*** of a job and I kept putting it off.

It’s hard to see but my 12HT return line is Teed into the breather line near the fuel tank Soft line to a hard line along the chassis rail then soft up to the pump.

So, if I understand you, you T’d into the front tank vent line? That I assume hasn’t given you any problems?

What soft lines did you use to connect the heater inlet/outlet? In the picture it looks like they have a tag/part no?
