Hey guys I was just driving home, heard a pop, my turbo, battery and brake lights are all on and the clutch and brakes are stiff. I'm checking the VSV and the actuator once I go get a vacuum gauge, any other ideas???:bang:

Alternator/vacuum pump?

Sounded like it came from the back so I just checked under and It's a hose coming off the right side of the rear axel, capped at the other end? Don't know what it's for but it's what went bang! Anyone know If it's vacuum or should there be fluid in there?

That sounds like your axle breather line. It should be like that, but shouldn't go bang.

It's in 3 pieces so I'll have to replace it tomorrow. Is the axel breather line for the LS diff and does it leak fluid when it's in one piece?

All LC diffs have a breather. It shouldnt leak fluid unless the diff is full of water or over filled.
One end is on top of the diff, the other is usually attached to the frame
There is also some breather lines for the fuel tank in the area above, check one of them hasnt come adrift

This problem sounds like you have have an alternator and vac pump problem. The pop was probably the belt that drives them coming off.

I think your breather on the rear diff is another problem(small) ;)

The alternator belt's gone. Any N.A part# for the 12HT belt. Looks like I have to take all the other belts off to replace it, is there any easy way to do it?
