Hello and greetings from Finnland.
I took the courage to put up my project now. I got a bit more hopefull on that it will some day be ready because I got one big thing done. Later you will find out what that thing was.
And the story of my Toyota.
I found a cassette deck once from a old cowhed. I collect old car radios so I got excited about it. I got it free to my collection. I said that it would be nice to have cable harness for that radio so I could test it. I was told that the car still excists where the radio once was. The I got an offer to buy the whole car. I was not interested. But after a couple of months I got excitedd about it. So I thought to take a closer look at that car. So one sunny autumn day 2015 we went to see what the car was. And there she sat behind another old cowshed. It was 8 years since the last drive.
I felt so pitty about a old Cruiser that had been left to rot so I had to buy it. It is a -89 car. I am the third owner. It has 389tkm on the clock. The next day I got it "home"
First away from the bushes.
Then to its new home.
A week from that I started it and drove around the yard a bit, washed it and started to wait on a new "garage" to be ready.
Couple of interior pictures.
So after christmas I moved it to the new garage and started to pull it a part.
I thought it would be enough to just repair sills and thaths it for the body. I was wrong...
The roof is useless. I had a little break to think about the future and the result was.
So that is what it looks like today. Now I need to start to practice the welding. I have welded 2 times before in my life so I have something to practice on. But it looks like promising now that the car will be ready some day. That is all for now for my first post. I will continue updating when something happens on this project.
