Yesterday when I drove home in the evening, the HJ60 was intermittently cutting out. The EDIC relay (new) clicked, and the engine consequently cut out for part of a second, then it came back on. It was not related to acceleration, or bumps in the road, and there is enough oil in the engine.
Did anyone experience this? Where do I start diagnosing?
I drove through some deep puddles in the afternoon, but fail to see how it could be related.

thanks,
Jan

Did the 2H have a low oil pression cut off ?

Look at the wire... maybe you will find a short cut (ground) somewhere.

that is a good suggestion. Yes, it has the low oil shutoff, and I think my sensor is not working, but there could very well be something in the wiring.
thanks,
Jan

If the wire of the low pressur sensor is groud, the engine shut off.

I think I figured it out. The third wire for the low oil cutoff was grounding out against the starter occasionally. I think the rain (it rarely rains here) brought this problem to the surface.

thanks for all the help, cheers,

Good stuff.

It rarely rains here too. We've only received around 20 inches this month. :(
