2H has the iron one for the presumed heavvier duty use of a diesel;)

Ok, but then why does the 12H-T have a "dainty aluminum" housing?

So let me get this straight, the clutch master cylinder pushes fluid down through the piping to the slave cylinder, which is bolted directly to the bellhousing. That slave cylinder's pushrod is attached to the clutch fork, right?

Do I have that right?

Maybe I got it wrong on the bell housing ,I no longer have my 3F housing around but it was open at the bottom and covered by a flywheel cover whereas I thought the diesel was enclosed all the way around.

Yes you have it 100% correct on the hydraulic action of the clutch fluid system :D
Various cruiser models have it on different sides and depending whether its a RH or LH market they use a crossover clutch line so you have the MC on one side and the SC on the other.
