Besides the cc count what is the differance in POWER between these three? Some of us on the south side of the border have not had the chance to drive the diesels. Some some of you who have driven the gassers and the smokers. fill us in on the differances.

I was looking more for the drivers point of view What people thought after driving them

Never driven a HJ or FJ, but I had a BJ60 (3B diesel).
That would be the slowest of the 3.
With 31" tires and a 5speed (h55) it was fine.

Add a turbo and wahoo!
A whole new truck.

A tubro 3B would be my choice.

Cheers,
Nick

had them all, a 78fj40, a 89fj62, a 85bj70 and a 84hj60turbo.
if you ever touch a diesel you will never touch a gasser again, that is all I have to say.

I thought the FJ is the most "powerfull " of 3 .. 155hp the 2H with 105 HP and 187 lb/p is a good choice .. ( I have one :grinpimp: )

I'll second that too... I spent over $4k on a high budget, performance 2F. Never again. A turbo diesel is the only route for me..

my setup is an hj60 w/33's and a 5-speed. Not fast. I can pass on the highway if I need to - but fuel economy is much better if I keep it at 100. I would like more power, but the simplicity of a non-turboed diesel with no computer and all that other mess is beautiful.
