Yes it will work. If the rad is new, it will likely come with plastic caps plugging the transmission connections. Just leave the caps in place and go.
Alternatively, you could use the trans loop in the rad to regulate power steering fluid temps if your stock power steering paperclip lines are leaky or missing.
