hj 60 5speed into a hdj 81 possible???

the 87 hj 60 had the 6 cyl, non turbo. my brothers truck (hdj 81)has the auto trans full time transfercase. this 5 speed has a select able t-case. 6 cyl aswell but turboed.

and if it did, would there be drive shaft differences?

difference bellhousing and clutch shaft length. not really possible. Drive shaft different length again.

Its possible, just LOTS of work and $$$. Would be easier to source the correct manual trans for a 80 series.
