I have the old IBM Aptive Win95 upgraded to Win 98 sec ed. It has 96 ram, 266 MHz speed and a Pentium ll in it.
The motel I am living at has FREE hispeed internet but I need to get a way to receive it on the old computer.
I tried a device that I connect to the USB port to receive hispeed internet but I need min 400 speed and more ram than I have. I can get more ram but how do I get more speed?
Is there a device to receive wireless internet that will work with my old IBM?

I imagine if your device isn't USB (like try a PCI) card, it would require less processor.

    Just a thought.

Get a PCMCIA adapter, and if you can run Linux or FreeBSD since they're not such resource hogs.

Netgear MA101 works with my old IBM Win98.
I have free internet now, at least untill I get out of the motel.
