Hinged Plastic Sill at Tailgate (1 Viewer)

I am not sure what it is called, but the plastic hinged part that spans the gap between the tailgate and the floor separated/broke all the way across at the hinge.

1) What is this part called?

2) Should I replace, or is there something better to install?
