hi beams are intermittent (1 Viewer)

the high beams on my 89 62 both go off together. then I switch back to regular headlights and they work. If I then switch back to high beams, they usually come back on, but sometimes they don't.

any ideas where I should start?

I would suspect the column switch first. They get all gummed up inside. You may be able to remove and clean it, or you can replace it with the modified Toyota pickup switch, as described somewhere here on Mud.

it's the LIKLEY suspect , and age and time and wear and use have made it the TOP suspect .....
