HG Done - now high idle (1 Viewer)

Hi all !! need some help

I finished the HG last night. It started right up but the RPMs are not coming down. The engine is running a little rough and I am hoping it is going to be all good once I am able to set the timing.

I have read a lot of similar threads and will investigate further.

However, one thing that is bothering me and I can't figure out is in the crankshaft position sensor wiring harness. I was re-wrapping the engine harness side of the connector, and I felt something hard in it. I unwrapped it and in the process I felt something snap. I decided to leave it alone, and re-wrapped it.

Not sure what is there, I am looking at the manual and I think it is a splice, but I am not sure

SUCCESS !!!!!

I had the accelerator cable too tight and it was pulling the throttle, and also I had the distributor one tooth off

Now it runs silky smooth !!! it looks pretty good !
