I run this thread in the 60 section and was asked if I would cross post over here. There is a bunch more content on the same title thread in the 60 section. I'll cross post from now on.

I think I found my cable shifters for our 80. Big thanks to Mel Kluhsman of Kluhsman Racing Products for his patience on the phone!
Spring loaded handles allow you to set stops on the end. They handle dirt track racing, think we're good. They will mount as high as I can get them and still have full view of the stereo/Nav screen. Everything below that horizontal bar above the ashtray is going.

Back to Leon. All jambs, inner doors, gate and hatch, inside doors all stripped to metal, prepped and being sprayed with epoxy primer
Lots of exposed metal inside a 60. More when you dump the plastic in the back and the wrap over door cards.

Fast forward................ got a couple trucks wrapped up and out the door and got back to painting Leon. I had to wait over a week for another day with humidity low enough to spray clear

May I ask what the shifters are for in the first pic? Are those cable shifters for the lockers and center diff lock ?

The transmission, T-case 2WD/4WD, T-case Hi Low, front axle locker and rear axle locker will all be cable shifted. It has a 60 series split case. I had a trans cable shifter laying around and wanted to do something different.

I actually did some work on my own truck, on a Sunday no less. The last Griffin radiator I bought, check out the date.

I think I'd be willing to work at your shop for free just so I could learn from you. :)
But I'm in CA and then my family wouldn't be able to eat.

Working on the shop addition today. Doing it all myself, alone. Had concrete poured. First time I set trusses alone.

All the trusses are set on the shop addition. First time I've set trusses alone.

A couple sets of 80 series gauges. Lower set will have a darker face plate, this was just a fitting.

Stop it. You're making me hate my dash.

The paint shop turned out great.

Thanks Fred, not a paint shop per se. I am trying to split the shop, dirty/clean so for the time being the addition will be used for a paint booth when required. I am planning on a separate building along the hedge row where the trucks are parked. This building will be a storage garage primarily but will be set up to double as a dedicated paint booth.

Go for it Fred, pull your dash and have at it! :)

Hanging an LS3 Connect & Cruise package in Max.
Motor mounts and cross member are done, back out to clean up and paint engine compartment.
