Heritage roof rack removal - what tools? (1 Viewer)

I will be buying an HE in person but having it shipped afterwards. I want to remove the rack before the shipper picks it up and want to be prepared for that- can anyone tell me what tools are needed? Thanks!

my HE came with an Allan wrench and the keys for the locks in the glove box

mine came with basically thumb screws and the locks were in the glove box. I removed it about 20 miles into my drive home at a gas station. It just fits inside if you fold and tumble the seats.

No tools at all. Just make sure you have the keys for the two locks. Then, you just unscrew the plastic nuts by hand. Read the instructions, as you don’t need to fully remove the mounts. You only have to loosen them to the point you can turn the T-Bolt and release the mount from the crossbar. Once you know what you’re doing, it should take about 10 minutes to remove/install.
