I've already got a 99 landcruiser, but saw another 100 locally that caught my attention.

It's a 2005 with 190k, in decent shape but needs an abs motor or master rebuild (abs and vsc lights are on with the notorious beeping) . It also potentially need a door skin but might be able to be popped out, since it's not creased. Also needs the tail gate worked on.

The interior looks fairly clean other than a mystery hole where diff lock switch is on the earlier models, an aux in port next to one of the center vents and the front cup holder assy needs to be replaced. Obviously would need a good interior and exterior detail.

No rust, and has had some maintenance done, no records but it has a newer fuel filter, drive belt, newer radiator and factory hoses ect. Unknown if the timing belts been done but the bolts for everything appear to have been off before.

Only things I can see that It needs are CV boots or reclamp and possibly a steering rack if new fluid and ATP dont fix it.

So, what do you think a fair price is? Also possible the owner has the abs issue repaired.

What are they asking?

Thats kind of where the problem is, I heard about this cruiser from a friend. It wasnt listed for sale, but the owner was talking about getting rid of it because of the issues. I went to look at it and I happen to know the owner of the cruiser. Hes not a cruiser head, and honestly I don't follow the market for later 100 series. He was wondering what a fair price was without fixing the master, and if the value would increase more than the cost of brake repair if he got it fixed.

I was thinking with the brakes taken care of its worth 10kish, but like I said I don't really follow the value of them.

Personally ... I would think like $5-6k would make sense. I've heard that the ABS issue can be pricey. Additionally, the interior is fairly worn and the exterior has seen better days. You mentioned the CV. That could be reclaiming, but could also be bigger issues. It could just be the pictures, but the suspension looks worn out too. Timing belt done?

Would offer $5k tops.

Door skin repair aint cheap
ABS repair aint cheap
Steering rack work ain't cheap.

If you can't do the work yourself, you're easily looking at $5-7k for parts and labour for just the steering rack and ABS issue.

It doesn’t look like a vehicle that has been taken care of. Not that it can’t be brought back but it’s going to take some work.

I fixed the ABS issue in my 100 for $250ish, and about a hour of time. Maybe the pictures make the interior look worse than it is, but other than a detail and fixing some trim its not in bad shape (I think I have a spare cup holder too). Front suspension probably needs a few turns on the torsion bars, it is sitting a little low. The shocks appeared to be fine. The CV's had the typical loose clamps and were starting to leak, probably 100% fine with new clamps. IDK about the timing belt, the bolts that have to been removed to do a tbelt/water pump job have been removed before so its a possibility.

I think the door can possibly be PDR'd (paintless dent removal), I'm saying door skin as a worse case. I can do the ABS for a couple hundred bucks and some time so its not a big issue. Steering rack, that would suck. They are expensive and a pain to do in the driveway.

It does need a good interior and exterior detail, its been neglected as far as cleaning goes. However there are lots of signs to decent maintenance. The newish denso radiator, new factory hoses (still had the labels on them), newer serpentine belt, fuel filter that was manufactured in April 2018, new battery terminals, new battery, greased zerks on the drive shafts, signs of diff and tcase oil changes, 4wd shifter is smooth ect.

I think you guys are right, 5-6k.

I got a replacement door used off Fleabay for $400, shipped. Cheaper than dent repair, got the same color, so didn't need paint.
