Took the truck to the local deal collision center. In addition to the dent in the doorframe a/pillar there is also a dent on the roof I missed. The guy thinks the truck will be a total as they may have to lift off the roof. Will know this week....

USAA is my insurance.

"Yes, I agree that its a total loss. I would like to buy it back for X% of market." Then drive it for another 500k miles because that damage is nothing. Go to a dent removal place and ask them to get it close. Do not let someone cut the roof off, that's crazy.

Thanks. I think the roof removal is more related to the sunroof, but not 100% sure. I should get the estimate today or tomorrow. Mostly likely will need to look for comps for market value. The truck is in otherwise great shape inside and out - and I put $1500 into in mechanically about a year ago.

This just happened to me last night in a different and also weird way!! Driving parallel with some train tracks about 20 feet high and a massive rock came off the rail car smashing my sun roof! If possible @Jwoodywild could you share the cost of the sun roof replacement so I have an idea of what it will take??

Depends on the year. New glass for the 1st gen 100 is NLA. You can still get the seal to freshen up a used glass panel. There's a 100 sitting at LKQ in Greenville, SC.

It is a 2000. Thank you, there is one near me as well I should be able to source if it becomes an issue.

Insurance estimate was $842 just for the glass. FYI. Hope that helps. Sorry to hear about it - glad you were not hurt.
Thank you and yeah I appreciate it, me too! that included labor also or just the glass itself?
