Can anyone give me a link or tell me what each of these fuses are for? Also, what is the correct fuse amperage for each of them? (I couldn't confirm this in any of the posts). The pic shows the six glass fuses from top to bottom. We have a '71 FJ40 that was manufactured in 11/70, if that helps. THANKS! :))

Assuming it is still wired correctly, from top to bottom it is:

Light - 20A
Horn/Cig lighter/ stop lights - 20A
Spare - 20A
Meter/gauges - 5A
Wiper/heater - 15A
Turn Signal/Charging circuit - 15A

Top 3 are always hot and bottom three are switched power

Thanks much! We've been having a wonderful time sorting out the wiring harness. I guess I shouldn't get too frustrated with it because, after all, our Cruiser is 40 years old.

The latest problem solved was that we had a short, or rather the wire was grounding out in the license plate holder light which was on the same circuit as the headlights. The PO has a rigged a funky headlight relay that had to be fixed as well.

Yours looks like its been moved to the middle of the truck, mine are located on the left side by the kick vent.

That's the stock location on an early 71. It looks like the switch took place in 9/71 to the A pillar.

That's where mine are. I replaced them with a fuse center from Painless and placed it up against firewall abovce the clutch. I highly recomment it. There's nothing good about all those bare leads and glass fuses sitting there like that. You also get a lot more circuits.

hazards fuse

also if your 71 is the same as mine you will find an inline fuse up high near the vent under the dash as the wire goes to the hazard switch---that's worth rewiring/routing down to a more user friendly place to change the fuse

Carefull with that old fuse panel. My 69 is the exact same one. Check your headlight fuse after running the lights a while. Mine was getting very hot. The rivets holding the fuse box together loosen up and get corrosion under them making bad contacts. You can get a brand new one with a cover still from toyota.
