So I ordered some wheel spacers from a h8mud member. I put them on yesterday and noticed that around 45 mph the steering wheel has a slight shake in it. I took the tires off to see if maybe I had an issue with the spacers not being seated properly or if the front hub bolts caused it to be off center. Everything checked out so I retorqued the spacers and put the tires back on. Now that I’m thinking about it I think it might be uneven wear on the tires (bought them used from CL) and the spacers just Made me finally notice it. Any ideas on what’s causing the steering wheel to shake is appreciated!

Are they hub centric? If not, thats why you have shake.

Then I’m guessing I’m just feeling my uneven tires? Any clues

If it wasnt shaking before the spacers then shaking after spacers, its the spacers.

.dding spacer means you'll create a lever arm on the spindles that may not have existed prior. So it may be the tires, but without the spacers the issue wouldn't show up. Spacers are so much more precise than a rubber tire I highly doubt the spacer is machined improperly.

post pics of the spacers are they the spidertraxx from slee?

Just confused what it could be? Everything is torqued, previous owner said they were fine on his but that it could be accentuating another problem & or I need new tires/balanced

As i suspected they arent hubcentric and arent slee spacers the guy lied. The problem is most likely the spacers.
FYI i just installed my spidertraxx slee spacers and they look completely different.

Look at the lips on the edge.

Just went for a drive right now and was totally fine on a smooth road, the road I drove on the first time is kind of bad so not sure if they needed to seat themselves. He just said These were made for christo slee before they started selling spidertraxx.

Im confident if you do have shakes its from the spacers they dont look hubcentric.

They look like chinese spacers on ebay for $70, with no hubcentric ring for the bore.

Good quality spacers look like this, you'll need the notches in the front to clear the hubflange's bolts
