I have a 88 toyota 4x4 and it didnt come factory with and oil pressure gauge, i was wondering how hard is it to put one in, and how do you put one in? Thanks for any help!:)

The best way to get an oil gauge is to buy an SR5 instrument cluster (ebay ~$50) and an oil sending unit (~$25 from Toyota). Install the oil sending unit and swap your instrument cluster. You get an oil gauge and a tach.

If you search this forum for "instrument cluster swap" I think you will find lots of detailed information on the subject.

Here is one thread which can be found in the FAQ (sticky - see top of forum):

Unless you want one that's accurate. Then you need to install an aftermarket gauge. Mechanical is better than electrical, but they are harder to install due to the capillary tube and larger sender that you can't disconnect from the gauge. Requires drilling a large hole in the firewall.
