Hello all
So I was changing the flanges on my 71 FJ40 since I am going with later drive shafts due to the 4 speed conversion.
So I installed the oil slinger and the seal and was going to slide the new flange in when the pinion gear seems like it slipped and is now side ways.
Do I need to remove the housing and re align it.?
Or is there a trick I can do to bring it back to position?
Thanks

You should be able to pull on it to get it straight.
If you need to turn the ring gear a little just jack up one of the tires and rotate it slowly to get what you need.
The bearings are tapered and as you tighten the flange down it will center up.
