Help needed with potential LX 470 purchase (1 Viewer)

Hi all. Been lurking for a while and shopping for a 100 series. I found a one owner 2005 LX 470 with 138 000 Miles. Asking just under $16,000. It spent most of its life in Michigan. The seller has provided pictures of the undercarriage but I have no idea how to judge. I am hoping for some feedback please.

I’m far from an expert but looks like the rust was painted over (Perhaps a rust inhibitor) and is now rusting through the paint. I would take higher mileage and less rust personally.

That's more rust than I'd want to see if I were shopping. I'm sure it looked a lot worse before the frame and rusty bits were painted black. In the first photo, in front of the rear tire, along the pinch weld, it looks like the rockers/body is starting to rot too.

This one would be a pass for me.

Looks ok for Michigan, but that's a premium Colorado/California/Arizona price tag. Drop the price $5k and it's a maybe. At that price, no way.

After owning a PA truck I would suggest finding something that is rust free or close to rust free. Every time I work on my truck it turns into a full day job due to a broken bolt.

Yeah rust has definitely been painted over. Some rust coating thrown on... wondering what happened as it looks like exhaust from headers to y pipe were replaced within last couple of years but muffler was left???
Hard pass especially at $16k
