This is a 1976 General Market (non-U.S.) FJ43. It would have come with drum brakes all around. Someone somewhere along the way converted it to disc brakes up front.

Can anyone help me identify which disc brake conversion this is based on these pictures? Looks like Toyota parts to me. I'd like to know which knuckles and which rotors/calipers they used.

I think I see "84707" in one of the pics. Does anyone know what part number that is and what it's from? I also see "DT" over an "R" and "DT" over an "L" on the knuckles.

Let me know if there are any key signs I should look for or if any other photos would help identify these parts.

Thanks for any help!

Looks like later model 40/60 or mini truck parts.

As far as I know mini truck were solid not vented rotors. Axle I have believe is out of a 84 and they are solid. All my FJ40 disc brake axles are vented.

Looks like an FJ60 set up. It could be earlier-you can tell by the knuckle stud spacing pattern. Larger = FJ60.

So does anyone have any ideas on the "84707" visible in the first photo? I looked under 1980's Toyota truck and FJ60 in parts diagrams and don't see that number anywhere. Any guesses?

All looks like 08/80 and later 40/60 stock brake pieces to me.

:meh:

The front disc brake conversion on my '71 FJ40 is a combination of mid-'80s mini-truck Birfields and knuckles, FJ60 vented rotors, and early '90s IFS calipers. Yours could be similar as that was a common approach back when I converted mine.
