Replaced windshield, Safelite, seems like they did a good job, still having door ajar issue after automatic car wash. Going to check the sunroof drains next. Anywhere under the hood I should look? Any help appreciated.

Do you have water on the fuse panels at base of A pillars in footwell after the carwash?

Not that I have seen or felt. Everything seems bone dry. That is what is so confusing...

I literally got out of my truck as I exited the carwash, got out a flashlight and went digging in the footwell to find the water running down the white fuse block on passenger footwell, behind the kick-plate trim by the passenger feet. I could see beads of water. Driver's side has similar fuse box.

IF that doesn't yield any results, I'll let someone else chime in with more expertise.....my other guesses would be sunroof drains, leaks from roofrack, or possibly from HVAC blower motor.

Need some help

So I removed the kick plates under the A pillers. I also removed the interior trim running beside the windshield. I poured a quart of water down the sunroof drain and watched the water flow out no problem. I too the car to the car wash thinking maybe the pressurized water was coming in through the wiring penetration gasket in the door jam. I watched going through the car wash as a decent amount of water (2 ounces maybe) trickled in from above the gasket where the wiring comes in from the door hinge. But I couldn't see where it was coming from. Could it be coming in from the roof rack? I don't want to take the quarter panels off. The windshield looked like it had a good seal. I am going to try to take a picture and use photoshop to show where the water was trickling in at. It was coming in on both side driver side and passenger from the same area. Any ideas?

At risk of destroying something trying to check it, have you verified that Safelite put the rivets in the holes underneath the A pillar rubber gasket on the outside of the windshield? It's a prime spot for water to pour in, and those holes were the source of my water leak. Sorry I can't be of more help, I know this is frustrating for ya.

F-ing safe lite missed a rivet on each side. Thanks to everyone. Hopefully I'm fixed up now. Will car wash test tomorrow
