I just put in the Slee upgrade light harness and now I have no head lights?? Please, if anyone has any ideas let me know. I have checked all the connections, and fuses......all good. One thing, the big black fusable links, where do they go?? I am not hooking up anything except the headlights.......no fog lights etc. Thanks, Chans

I thought the big black fusable links go straight to the battery, hence nice short run for power to the headlights makes them brighter. Double check the instructions before taking my advice, I am just going from memory.

The instructions say nothing like that. Matter of fact, the instructions mention nothing about the fusable link.

Hold, let me go pop my hood...brb

Yep 2 black fusable links to the positive terminal.

So, the two BIG black fusable link wires both goto the positive side of the battery? Holy crap, if this is the answer I am going to S&*T myself!!!:crybaby:

funny you post this, i was just checking mine today to make sure they were tight

yes, 2 black wires to the +

woulda been more obvious if it was red huh? :flipoff2:

Thanks guys for giving me the scoop on how hook up the wires to the battery!! Ya, I feel like a dumbass now. I was out there for over an hour tracing the lines, connecting and taking apart everything. The wife thought I was nuts (well, she thinks that anyway) Thanks again and yes, the lights work like a champ now. :D

I am 99% sure the instructions said thats what those were!

EDIT: Just checked. It is step 15 in the instructions! :flipoff2:

Glad ya got it though!

Just did mine yesterday. I can appreciate your concerns. I took it very slow and checked everything three times. Scared that I would end up F*#king it up. But I was lucky everything is fine and dandy.

If I may ask...Can you tell any difference?

Unsure, i orginally did it to put in higher watt bulbs, but i ended up putting in the HIR bulbs that are stock wattage. I have been toying with the idea of just pulling the harness and running the OEM stuff again to keep the rig as simple as possible. personally i dont seem the point of it if your using stock wattage bulbs.

If i can find some higher wattage bulbs, i was going to pull the harness and build my own using it as a template, but using much heavier duty components!

I didn't notice too much of a difference with both the headlight harness and the aux harness...

The provided relays were horrible...three of them corroded and shorted out the head lights within a month of so of install.

I spliced in weatherproof relays instead from Summit. Works great now.
