HELP …1978 FJ40 power steering pressure hose crack (1 Viewer)

I am on vacation 4 hours from home and my power steering pressure hose developed a crack and is majorly spewing power steering fluid. Can I wait until I get he to fix or do I need to try and find a part and fix on the road. Please let me know…

if all the fluid leaks out, you will destroy the pump and not have power steering.
if it is possible to remove the belt from the pump you could run like that for awhile. as long as nothing else is run off the belt
what power steering conversion do you have?

All good! Made it home…found a CarQuest that helped me repair the hose…works like a champ! Thank you!
