Hi everyone, just thought I'd introduce myself. I'm John--and I'm becoming a Cruiser nut. Unfortunatley, I don't currently own one but I am looking around for a nice 60 series.

    I do own two MR2s:

Hopefully, I'll get to meet some of you soon!

Hello John. 60's pop up every now and then in the area. Good ones go fast sometimes.

    Are you located in Oklahoma?

Come down to Joe Momma's next Thursday at 7PM and meet some of the Tulsa members. They might have leads to a 60.

    I know of a 60 for sale....

This is to anyone interested since my wife said no...

A guy here at work said he was going to sell his 1988 FJ60 or would it be a 62? He said it was an automatic. It has 180K on it but is in real nice condition. All stock.

I will check on the price. $1800 I think? It is in OKC.

    Later,
    Keithb

Buy first , inform the wife after.

Forgiveness is easier to get than permission.

I think Randy sold the 60 already. It went pretty fast.

    Thanks guys!

Have you considered an 80 series? They're getting to the point now that they're quite affordable. Better ride, factory lockers, pretty inexpensive to lift, course, I'm a bit biased...

I am open to an 80 series. Initially, I wasn't due to the perceived increase in technological doodads but...after looking at them a bit more they seem pretty similar to a FJ62. 3FE, solid front axle...they also appear to be less prone to rust and have not been offroaded/modified as much.

It'd have to be '93 or earlier to be in my price range (from what I've seen anyways).

    Thanks
    JP

The deals are out there, we picked up a locked '93 FZJ for 4K about a month ago. Probably won't be wheel'n it anytime soon but a sweet deal.

    Good Luck!

    Thanks
