I was raised in the ozarks, most of my family lives in Springfield, Jefferson City and Overland Park Kansas..My family are wanting to haul the 40 out there and do some trail riding......Looking at the June/July timeframe..Do ya'll have any events going on that we could join you on?

Id love to ride the trails out there, hell - as a kid I spent most of my childhood in an old Bronco bouncing around looking for spotlighters - My grampa was a game warden..

Im open to ideas,suggestions and such but its a pretty big trip from the east coast to haul the 40 and I just wanted to throw a line out and see what kind ideas and possibilities might exist for such a trip!

I live in Springfield. Would be glad to show you around. Not a lot of wheeling events that time of year because of the heat. Arkansas group has the ramble in early June. We spend more time on the river than wheeling. Hoosier cruisers wheel in Missouri around the first of June also.

I remember the summer heat quite well..spent a lot of time on eleven point river .. thanks for replying! I'll stay in touch..I suppose I just want to share the area of my youth with my huz..and drive my 40, of course! I cannot WAIT to get back and eat real BBQ!

Where are the good river spots up by Springfield?

The Buffalo river is my favorite. It's less than two hours south. Also spend time on the current and north fork.
