those rebuildables are cool but would throw my budget! I still need to rebuild my tranny. What about getting boots for the heims?

boots are available.

Boots is running 63s in the rear of his rig and I'm doing the same thing... He hasnt had much issue with them. So far they seem more than adequate for my setup. I got a set for $100 already pulled and waiting for me at the local junk yard.

Not bad a bad deal... I got my radius arms for $19 a piece and someone gave me coils.

I think I can pick up leafs for $22 each at the pull yard but i do need to pull them myself. I found some on a 3/4 ton chevy so they are plenty strong enough.

Next time i will bring PB blaster and WD40!!!:bang:

Wow that is a killer deal on Heims on Ruff Stuff, but 3/4" seems too small for Radius arms.. you would want the 1.25" ones. and even those I would Question the Quality of the stuff he sells. Ive had some issues with the disk brake brackets he sells

on a RA Suspension all of the Torque must be transmitted through that joint in the Vertical plane, rather than horizontally with a typical 4 link..

Do it right the First time bro! if you aint got the cash do some leaf Springs.. or wait and build a Proper 4 link.. This thing is going to be badass on some 1 tons.. Tell you wife that you need to sacrifice and feed the kids Ramen Noodles for a few weeks.. ;)

Trevor,

do you think 3/4 are strong enough for the front though?

I think I have gone back to leafs for the rear for sure.

With 3/4 ton leafs will i still need the wrap bar?

I would do Good Quality Large Joints in the front, You only need 2 of them, they will set you back $120 or so for the tube adapters, and Jam Nuts, but its is the most Critical part of a radius arm!

:meh:Im not sure dude, I know for a fact that the 1/2 ton 63" chevys work great under Smaller Pickup trucks without any issues with Wraping..

Sounds like a few of the FJ60 guys are doing it without issue, and one guy who said it wont work.. lol

:flipoff2:
