Can I use regular rattle can paint for a heater and core?

you dont need high temp paint, and believe it or not they make special radiator paint. it is thinner so it doesnt interfear with the transfer of heat as much. you dont need it but if you found some it would be cool.

Thanks for the reply. I will post a pic once it's installed and the stereo is done.

I wouldn't *paint* the heater core......
leave it alone, or use specific *radiator paint*

the box can be painted with whatever you want. I used Rustoleum *Hammered* paint and it's holding up great. Clean it good with paint thinner first!

same here, wontwork as well if you paint the core :-\ and dont ask ... just trust :-[

Barbque paint works well on the heater . You can pick it up at any hardware store. It is a semi gloss finish and will definitly handle the heat of your heater. I would not paint the core .
