I just purchased an 83 fj60. The previous owner said that when the vehicle was parked the blower motor for the heater worked fine. I was wondering, what is the best way to diagnose the problem. I pulled the power plug off of the motor and used a test light to determine there is power in one of the posts. Is there to be power on both sides at the high fan setting?

    Please help,
    Kyle

First try this: With the power plug on and the fan switch on, lightly tap/bang the blower itself. If it fires up then the blower is worn out, and you go to Toyota and pick up a new blower motor, simple!
