Heater Hoses for an LV (1 Viewer)

I was replacing the water pump on my 66 LV and I noticed 2 shut off valves on the heater hoses. One is on the head and the other on the water pump. Does anyone know if these are original?

I had 3 lvs the one on the engine was on all mine don't know about the one on the water pump

The one on the water pump was not stock .

Is there supposed to be a T in place of that valve? The new water pump only has single nipple
