Any one have any idea if these are supposed to be resistors or just a joining of the wires for the heating seat element. Just pulled my drivers seat apart to try to fix and found a burn at the wire joint before the heating pad itself.

(similar to what the pink line trace below it looks like)

Just confirmed the wire that burnt is the black wire that is going into the black box in the heating element. Anyone know if the pink thing below the burn mark is a resistor or if there are supposed to be resistors along the wiring before reaching the black seat heat box?

Or is it just a joining of all the wiring point that melted?
 
This is the lower seating heat pad. all looks in tact but not sure what these joining of wires are or if they are resisters in place.

bump; anyone? would love to get the heated seat pad functioning again :) just don't know if its safe to join all the wires together or supposed to be a resistor of sort there that I'm missing / got burned out.
