Hey

I Have a 82 Bj 42 24 volt system, that i belive is 12 volt for headlights? Here is the ? the drivers side works the passenger does not. The wiring between the two looks all good:) but the passenger has constant power (direct from drivers battery) yet does not work and high beams as well. The drivers has the headlight switch power and works. all fuses are good. the direct power is a red black wire from battery is this normal or has it been screwed with. any suggestions.

headlight headaches

The headlights are 12 volts with one light getting 12 volts from the evil center tap at the negitive pole of the second battery in line and the other 24volts from god knows where to balance the second light out somehow. If this makes no sense at all your in good company, I have a 82 also and have had it explained several times but it still seems unatural to me. You have to get a wiring diagram, better yet a complete shop manual if your gonna keep the rig. First look on here [ use search] and check your bulbs to see if there good. Good luck! Tim
