Just finished my projector retrofit and shared over in that thread a tool I used which makes headlight adjustment a breeze. You'll need a driver to socket adapter to use it. Any drill - right angle attachment will work but the low-profile of this tool makes it very easy to use. I use it for drilling new outlets through studs and its really durable. Took 10-20 seconds do to an adjustment which usually would take 5-10 minutes and a lot of frustration.
On the drivers side just undo battery bracket, lift and push the battery back out of the way. The passenger side is a piece of cake.
