That thing looks amazing. If you've always wanted a diesel I'm sure you'll be happy with the choice. Your first post made it sound like you weren't too familiar with diesels, so that's why my original approach was one of caution.

@subzali I should have been more upfront about my love of diesels, but i knew the answers would be "get the diesel", but i truly would have been fine with the gasser and i wanted to get more of idea of the thoughts comparing the two. I currently have a 1969 never ending project fj55 with a 4bt in it, though given that's its not drivable, that may not mean much
@mudgudgeon Thanks, I think i got luck with it. Once its in my driveway, i'll take more picks and start a thread on what it has and what i'm planning to do to it.
