Hi, how many liters does the standard fuel tank of an HDJ81 have?

Also, when the low gas light on the dash goes up, how many liters are still left in tank? It would be good to know whether I need to make a mad dash to the nearest gas station.

I think that mine holds 80L but I don't know for sure. The most that i have ever put in was 75L. (needle was way below E) As for the light, if I have one it is not working or I have never ran the tank down to where it will come on.

The standard HDJ81 fuel tank capacity is 95 litres. I never pumped in more than 92 litres and I thought I was going to run dry - in the middle of nowhere in Saskatchewan, almost every station I passed was closed - finally found one open selling fuel for more than 20c per litre more than the going rate but I didn't care at that point.

The low fuel warning light is very conservative and seems to vary from truck to truck but usually you have at least 15 litres left before you are empty once that light comes on. You would have to check your individual truck to verify that number.
