Working out the minor kinks on the 81 that finally arrived. Back up beeper is annoying as fark. I know its behind the instrument cluster. Don't feel like ripping the whole dash apart right now to get to it. Anybody know if there's a wire you can cut to get rid of the beeping without having to tear into the dash?

I would say that's unlikely. Cluster also needs the reverse signal for shifter position indicator.

I wish mine didn’t come with it. First late model 81 I’ve rode in. The few other older ones I’ve been in didnt have it. Maybe it’s a 95+ thing
mine is a '90 and it has the reverse alarm
