Hey All,

Can I get a picture of the back passenger corner of the hdj81 engine bay, I have a couple plugs just chilling there and was wondering if anything was missing.

(Took this picture in the middle of a fuel filter change) So I know the home to at least one of them, Harness to Fuel sensor

The ABS pump sits there on so equipped 80s.
If its on a cross over year maybe that's what there for.
I could check easily enough.

Oh, a diesel engine bay shouldn't be that clean. Maybe you should get it checked out?

;)

I have a 92 RHD HDJ80 1HDT GXL and it has a bunch of unused plugs as well.

I did look them up at one stage and while I can’t rmemeber what they are, they were all features available on the Sahara/VX edition...

Apparently Toyota just used the one loom with wiring for everything as opposed to different looms for different trim levels.

So nothing to worry about

There's unused plugs allover every model landcruiser.
Wiring harnesses are made to be generic to numerous models with different spec levels and different factory accessories.
It's cheaper and simpler for manufacturing

x2. The 7* series being 34 years old with more than a dozen body shapes has a lot of mysterious unused plugs. If you have the time you can nut it out by looking through the schematics.

The 60 series used the same wiring as 84-90 7* series , engine for engine
