I guess I fall into the “didn’t want to touch it“ category.

After looking over the wiring harnesses more closely, then moving onto other mechanical issues I found which could hinder the 80’s reliability, I suggested they send the truck home or to someone else, based on their constraints as explained to me.

That said, I think they’re in good hands. Hopefully Georg can get them squared away and back to their adventure.

the fusible link on my 1993 fjz80 looked kind of heat damaged when i bought it so i made a nice replacement out of blue wire not knowing any better. thankfully i read enough to know better on mud soon enough to replace it before i blew everything up. i guess my concern in working on that trick would be that it may indicate someone wired the camper systems into that truck without knowing what a fusible link is. knowing a little bit more now about what i didn't know then that makes me shiver.
