Welcome!! We're running an easy trail on Saturday, tomorrow, if you're free.

It looks like you may have a new prospective member at your next coffee shop meeting. My name is Sherrod Kyle. My family and I moved to Albuquerque about 8 years ago from Denver. This was my 78 in 2007:

It has LOTS of mods....LT4/NV4500, OME suspension, Warn winch, etc...... However, it is now a shell of its former self after almost 10 years of inactivity. Just a couple of startups each year. It was stored outside and rust has taken a big toll. Now is the time to bring her back to life though. So with a new restoration project, I figure that I will need some new friends here that know the Albuquerque scene. I will keep an eye out for your next meeting. Cheers.

Welcome Sherrod!

I'm bumping this thread up to the top for the new folks to include their names and other info. Thanks folks!

Dang, that list needs updating. I just spent a little time on it. If the new folks could PM me, or post here, I will get you included.

I'm Virgil. Got a 98 Lx, and a 2005 Gx. The Lx is the only one I am allowed to play with though.

I'm not new but it doesn't look like I ever put a photo of my cruisers here so here are some photos of the old 60 I don't have anymore (and sold for way too little in 2008) and the 'new' 100 that I've had for 10 years. I've also got a couple 4Runners and an FJ40 but no photos of them - Marc

I just found this thread.

I have a 95 80 series 6bt/NV4500 my daily driver, light trail, and tow rig; 65 FJ45 my utility fun truck; and a 2001 tundra camper which is our family rig for camping.

looks like a 45 SWB. not many of those around! love the camper too!
Yeap, it is a SWB. They do seem to be hard to come by. The fixed top version seem to be easier to find but maybe that is because they are less appealing to the taller folk. I wish it were a little closer to stock but it is easier to use since it is not.

My name's Hank and I am in ABQ (Uptown area). Daily drive my 96 FZJ80 since 2001. For some reason though, I am currently addicted to the 150 Series forum and the GXOR FB page Haha.

Welcome Hank and just say no to IFS but that 4.7 is the shiznit. Wait, I've gone one

Hope to meet ya at the next meeting in two weeks. Nice to see another 80 in the herd and she looks like a virgin :hmm: I see lots of potential here (rubbing my hands with glee)

Word of warning Hank. When it comes to helping people spend money, Ali is the master. Especially when it comes to an 80. You have been warned.

(And for the record … we all approve of Ali's assistance in this regard.)
