Alright, I looked. I have 1 older one (round stock with large handle, looks like yours), 1 red round one that's a little more open, and 2 of the hexagonal metal ones that suck.

You want them? My horses went with the ex- and I have no need for them.

If you need a second set (i.e you get a helper), I should have a pair laying around also. Probably US made because they date back to the early 70's.

...something like that i could probably make without too much trouble. i am/was pretty into knife and black smithing and while im no expert on heat treating if i know what material it is i can heat treat it fairly well. i doubt im the knife maker u were thinking of but i know a bit...

OK, I was home when the Farrier showed up. I took him wheeling (In my Tow Rig) and he rebent and treated my hay hooks. I just moved 15 bails of hay and they did not bend.

OK, I was home when the Farrier showed up. I took him wheeling (In my Tow Rig) and he rebent and treated my hay hooks. I just moved 15 bails of hay and they did not bend.

I'm stihl gonna send you mine........and the 020AV. Hopefully on Monday. Otherwise, it'll be late Oct!

Wife boughtt a Squeeze of Alfalfa for me to stack this weekend. The squeeze of GrassHay is coming next weekend.

I get to try all of my hay hooks out.

A single Bail of good alfalfa Horse grade hay is going for $20 now.

Buying by the squeeze is the cheapest way but it still costs a bunch.

My ol ladys family is in the hay bizz. Its insane. They are always biitchin about the export hay screwing things up for owners here.

Asians will pay more for alfalfa than you will pay for a prime steak. Thats the facts.

Exporting horse meat rather than feeding "wild" horses $400/ton hay makes too much sense

The weak dollar really helps other nations afford US commodities. Makes it hard for the domestic market for sure. For us producers its about a wash - $4 diesel and $500/ton fertilizer eats up a lot of margin.

Gotta love inflation - our large dairy customer in Tulare got the biggest milk check in his lifetime last Friday, by noon today it was spent just catching up on bills...
