So I've taken my 92 Land Cruiser to two different mechanics and they have both said that the kick down cable needs to be replaced, however the one in right now is too long / jimmy rigged that it's bound to cause me problems. So me knowing nothing about anything, go to oreilly's and autozone and order one, but all the ones you can get are too short. If Toyota discontinued this part (which is looking like that's the case for my year) besides hoping someone is parting out theirs (already started working on that), what would the alternative be? Is it possible to have a cable fabricated? Does anyone know someone in the LA area that could possibly do that?
